Welcome to the Hoops for Wake Forest charity three on three basketball tournament web site. The 13th annual tournament was held on Saturday May 17, 2008 in downtown Wake Forest. This years Grand Sponsor was BB&T of Wake Forest. Other major sponsors for this years tournament included, Wake Forest Federal,The Wake Weekly, Wal-Mart, and Sports Court Family Game Courts. We are extremely grateful to all the volunteers, players and especially the sponsors for making this charity event successful each year. We look forward to our 14th tournament in 2009.

The 2008 tournament netted approximately $15,000 from sponsor donations and team registrations. This tournament is presented by the Hoops for Wake Forest Board of Directors. The event was created to provide both an avenue for athletes of all ages and abilities to participate in a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, and most importantly, it is a way to generate money for charities in the Wake Forest community. Since 1995, the tournament has generated over $175,000 for local causes such as summer camp for disadvantaged kids, DARE program, Shop with a Cop, Camp Kanata, Tri-Area Ministries, Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Band, and Kiwanis Park, just to name a few.
Money is generated through nominal team registration fees and sponsor donations at various levels. These sponsorships offer promotional opportunities within the community and spread the sponsor goodwill with the customers. The entire staff is made up of local organizations, and at-large volunteers from within the community.
We look forward to an even better tournament next year.
Entry fee is as follows:
Adults, 19 and older: $90 per team
Youth, 13 thru 15: $20 per team; 16 thru 18: $40 per team
Children, 12 and under: Free
Slam Dunk and 3 point shootout: $1 under 18; $2 over 18

Hoops for Wake Forest basketball tournament is a great way for athletes, spectators, sponsors and volunteers to participate in an exciting day of fundraising for the historical community of Wake Forest and its local non-profit organizations.
